Sydney Homeless Connect is a program designed to bring together people who are homeless and at risk of homelessness in Sydney with the services and support that they need whilst providing them with a positive d
ay they will remember.
Originating in San Francisco, California, in 2004 with the support of San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom, the program is now operating in cities all over the globe. Project Homeless Connect has been in Australia for the past 2-3 years with the first day held in Brisbane and the most recent one in Perth in November 2009.
June 8th, 2010 will see the first Project Homeless Connect in Sydney and the much needed establishment of this ongoing program.
Kennards Self Storage gladly donated 100 boxes to help with moving and storage of goods for Sydney Homeless Connect.
