The Neville Kennard Address tribute to his contribution to the Centre for Independent Studies

The Centre for Independent Studies (CIS) has chosen to remember important contribution to the CIS of Neville Kennard (1937 – 2012) with the “Neville Kennard Address” at their exclusive event – Consilium. The CIS has created the Neville Kennard Address as an enduring tribute to the contribution and support he gave the CIS for many decades. Another touching gesture by one of the many causes and initiatives that he impacted.

As an uncompromising friend of freedom, Nev was instrumental in the inception and shaping of the CIS in 1976 and for many years after. He believed that organisations like the CIS were vital to limit the growth of the State and protect the liberties of individuals. He was the first third-party donor and inaugural chairman of the CIS Board.

The inaugural Neville Kennard Address was given in August this year by Bjorn Lomborg. Opening remarks and reflections about Nev by Greg Lindsay and myself.
